"Il
Pinocchio "... an evocative name for this traditional Italian
restaurant, whose decor combines oak and exposed stone with ochre
and burnt orange-tinted walls. Adorable, discreetly suspended marionnettes
blend in with the enchanting interior to transport you right into
the imaginary universe of the adventures of the boy puppet Pinocchio.
This
restaurant's hushed, welcoming ambiance perfectly illustrates the
world of Carlo Collodi, author of this masterpiece, a wonderful
story where dreams take hold upon reality.
As for the cuisine, the dishes are full of savoury ingredients,
like preserved tomatoes, marinated aubergines, Sicilian-style mussels
and clams, Bresaola roquette salad, and San Daniele ham...
The homemade pasta is simply delicious, always accompanied by unique
sauces : papardelli with mushrooms and black truffle cream sauce,
agnolotti with gorgonzola cheese and walnut cream sauce, seafood
linguini, rigatoni with aubergines and mozzarella di Bufala, and
the very popular tagliatelli with orange and cinnamon sauce.
The meat and fish are cooked in the purest of Italian traditions.
Dishes like these are sure to ravish even the most refined of palates:
stuffed scallops with San Daniele ham and mozzarella cheese, or
braised tuna with pesto and tomatoes...
For die-hard pizza fans, "Il Pinocchio" offers a unique
range, including the "Marguerita della Mamma" with fresh
tomatoes and mozzarella di Bufala, the "Pinocchio" with
bresaola sauce, roquette leaves and parmesan cheese, as well as
the "Gepetto" with San Daniele ham, roquette leaves and
olive oil.
For dessert, try the strawberry tiramisu, the limoncello, baba cake,
the chocolate semifredo, or even the house raspberry pannacotta.
It's a symphony of aromas, infinitely brimming with new flavours.
The chef's talent shines in all of these original, artful delicacies.
Everything... the antipasto, the dishes, and the elaborate desserts...
are all made with finesse. And as for the wines, all of the regions
of Italy are represented, including Sicily, Sardinia, Lombardy and
Lazio... with wines like Rubizzo, Tuscany's Brunello di Montalcino,
Abruzzo's Don Camillo Farnese, Puglia's Llemos de Castris and Piedmont's
Barolo Marchesi.
Come share a part of this marvelous story with us...

traditional pizzas around...
